What kind of domain am I registering?
You receive an assigned namespace under somali.land, such as yourbusiness.somali.land. This is a subdomain service, with control of DNS records within your namespace.
Can I connect my existing website and email?
You can configure DNS records for external website and email providers after activation. Email hosting and managed email forwarding are not included.
Who can register a name?
Direct names are for registered commercial businesses. Education and organization names require category-specific evidence and independent review.
Can I search government names?
No. The gov.somali.land namespace is restricted to verified government bodies and requires manual approval.
Does a search reserve my name?
No. Availability is advisory. A reservation requires an eligible, verified organization. Billing and provisioning must be completed before service activation.
